Solar Heat & Hot Water

Solar

Another great system gaining in popularity is solar. Using the sun’s energy to heat our water and our homes is quickly becoming a standard in today’s world. We can help you to find the best system for your needs. With today’s technology it is possible to generate enough solar electricity and heat to run our homes and almost stay “off the grid”. How Solar Works

The Solar twin glass evacuated tube absorbs and retains up to 96% of the solar energy it is exposed to due to it's extremely efficient solar absorptive coating and high insulation value. This energy is collected and stored upon our specially designed recycled aluminum absorption plates. The energy is then transferred to a copper heat pipe that contains a non-toxic liquid that is designed to boil at 84°F. The boiling liquid becomes steam and rises up the tube which is held in place with a cork based stopper and metal thermal reflective plate at the top of the evacuated tube. The steam passes up into a condenser bulb at the tip where it releases it's heat to the bulb and condenses back into a liquid. The liquid then drops back to the bottom of the tube to start the process over again. This complete evacuated tube assembly is then inserted into a copper manifold housed within our specially designed header that is made of a powder coated extruded aluminum mounted upon stainless steel rails, and is held in place with a clip at the bottom of the collector. The fitting into the copper manifold inside the header is known as a "dry fitting" as there isn't a transfer of fluid between the solar loop and the heat pipe condenser, only heat. A water or glycol based antifreeze solution is then circulated thru the copper manifold to absorb the heat for use in industrial, commercial, and residential heating of domestic hot water, radiant floors, pools, and spas.

Solar Thermal Systems can be easily incorporated into any existing Hot Water generation system. The collector can be attached directly to a properly pitched roof, or can be installed on our variable pitched mounting frame. The frame can then be attached directly to a pitched roof, flat roof, pole mount, or the ground. The frame can even be inverted and attached directly to vertical surface as well, providing the collector with the appearance of an awning
